Day 16

After a while I get tired of my hair color and usually make a trip to the Sally Beauty Supply store for some professional hair dye. I tried to order some from their online store but they are unable to ship those kind of items. I have been looking for a particular shade of brown everywhere and I finally found a box that looked close to the color I wanted so I took a risk and dyed my hair “Samt-Braun.” According to my German friend Shari, this word "samt" isn't a color and she didn't know what it meant. This made me a little nervous to see how crazy my hair was going to look in the morning. I don’t like to blow dry my hair the same day I dye it because it’s too much for my hair to take. I used a brand called “Schwarzkopf Brillance.”
I asked my Mom (who is also German) what color this was and she said "soft brown," Google Translator says it means "velvet brown." It came out a bright reddish brown and I love it! I'm so glad I took a chance and my hair turned out so nice.
And in the end, it's not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years. ~Abraham Lincoln
